a good place

Sometimes, I just feel peaceful. I am not thinking too hard or analyzing too much. I am enjoying the moments that God gives me, as they happen, instead of ruining them by stressing about the future or the past. I’m happiest when I am this way: more fully alive, more alert to see the blessings showered on me. I can’t see them when I am worried, but I can see them when I am at peace.

Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable – if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise – dwell on these things (Philippians 4:6-8).

I could meditate on these verses for a long time and still have more to learn.
