the future of reading?

It seems a little presumptuous for someone to forecast the future of reading, but this article is highly interesting (to those of us who are bookish).

Unfortunately, I’m too sleepy from reading “familiar sentences printed in Helvetica and rendered on lucid e-ink screens” to be able to comment further at this time.

  1. That was interesting. I’ve never gotten into digital reading because I think it would be much harder on the eyes, but I figure I’ll have one eventually… and e-texts are usually available for free or mere pennies. Still, there’s nothing like a bookshelf with all my old friends sitting there, staring at me and holding shared memories. 🙂

  2. Ditto to lovedandamazed….
I fear the effect on my eyes. I’d rather open a book than stare at a screen, any day!
I guess we’ll see what the future holds for us…
