winter

How can it be December 9th – still autumn – yet I’m ready for spring? With sub-freezing temperatures the past week, it definitely feels like winter here.

Bad Things About Winter

– Chapped hands, chapped face, chapped everything

– Cold feet and hands

– Scraping ice off my windshield in the morning

– Getting sick

– Having to spend so much time inside (or at least wanting to)

– Utility bills (heat is an expensive necessity)

Good Things About Winter

– Christmas!

– Hot drinks from steaming mugs

– Snow

– Feather comforters

– Flannel sheets

– Good-smelling candles

– Not having to mow the lawn

– The expectation of spring (does this one even count?)

  1. You get to wear boots and scarves and hats and fun coats in the winter. You forgot that VERY IMPORTANT POINT. Just thought I’d mention it. 😉

    • That’s true. I do like scarves. 🙂 I’d just as soon never wear coats or boots…but I’m glad you like them. 😉

  2. What about your birthday that’s coming up? That’s definitely a pro! xoxo
